This Madonna had a SALUTATION removed.  I acquired this as part of a Beatles purchase. In the autograph: "Love Madonna," notice the leading "L" in love looks a bit thin or worn.

 

What happened, without question, was a salutation (a name Madonna autographed), was removed to make the autograph generic and feel more valuable.  Someone who likely used rubbing alcohol to remove that name came too close to the "L."

Had I not pointed this out, it might have been mistaken for a marker thinning.  Still, it's Madonna signing LOVE.
