"these are the seasons of emotions; like the winds they rise and fall."

This "theater poster" was a natural promo to sign.  Dramatic.  This poster features Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and Jimmy Page's autographs.  It was signed at the R&RHoF event  which inducted Led Zeppelin into the hall in 1995; introduced by Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and lead guitarist Joe Perry.  That event gets great signatures and incomplete sets.

Several companies in the 90s sold knock-offs of attractive sets.  That organization was finally forced out of business facing a potential class action suit. I knew one of the primaries of that group and found it hard to believe anyone could sell a forgery to an almost reverently devoted fan. You'll see these fakes on the web from $1k to as much as $15,000.  The more expensive, the more believable.

This is NOT from that company.  I took this piece as part of a trade for a signed Revolver LP.
Without a sheet of paper as provenance, it's being sold as being acceptable as GENUINE in all respects to me.

1AAAA-PLANT.jpg

There are no starts/stops in Plants signature. This was unhurried and vertical line in his "R" commonly never strikes through to the lower part of his R and side-stroke.

The "lightening bolt" Page signature confuses some; it's simply "Jimmy" on an angle. Three "humps" are common in his autograph. "Page" has humps after the "P," because Jimmy thoughts a similar scrawl, like JIMMY, looked, "cool."  And it does. To the right is the "age," in Page, out to the right. This is a nice Page autograph.

The way Jone's signature was explained to me, John is "Joh," Paul is "Pal."  John is just, "J." That's what the signatures had evolved. No start/stops, unhurried excellent JPJ sign, and, I'm told, signed at the induction ceremonies at the R&RHoF.

PRICING.
I would price a Zeppelin poster, like this one, at $3500 to #5k.  Historical consequence and Led Zeppelin is a band that will be relevant a hundred years from now, like the Beatles, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, and the Stones.

Without paper provenance, I'm offering this piece for $2,000.

NOTE: There are NO RETURNS or REFUNDS.  My C.O.A. will accompany this. Do comparative analysis on the web.

This piece was never rolled into a cardboard cylinder for mailing.  It's mounted on "FOAM CORE" and covered with shrink wrap.  It's been stored, flat, with other sized pieces, kept away from sunlight and dust.  The poster's approximate measurements are 11.7 x 16.5 inches.
