"these are the seasons of emotions; like the winds they rise and fall."

This theater poster serves as a natural promotional piece.   It features the autographs of Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and Jimmy Page.   The signatures were obtained at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame event that inducted Led Zeppelin in 1995, which was introduced by Aerosmith's frontman, Steven Tyler, and lead guitarist, Joe Perry.  This event is known for producing great signatures and often results in incomplete sets.

In the 1990s, several companies sold counterfeit versions of attractive sets of signatures.  Eventually, one organization was forced out of business after facing the threat of a class-action lawsuit. I knew one of the key members of that group and found it hard to believe that anyone would attempt to sell a forgery to such a passionate fanbase.  You may still find these fakes online, ranging in price from $1,000 to as high as $15,000.  Generally, the more expensive the item, the more convincing it appears.

This poster is NOT from that company.   I acquired this piece as part of a trade for a signed *Revolver* LP.   Although it does not come with a sheet of paper as provenance, I am confident in its authenticity and believe it to be genuine in every respect.his piece as part of a trade for a signed *Revolver* LP.   Although it does not come with a sheet of paper as provenance, I am confident in its authenticity and believe it to be genuine in every respect.his piece was part of a trade for a signed *Revolver* LP.   Although it does not come with a sheet of paper as provenance, I am confident in its authenticity and believe it to be genuine in every respect.

There are no starts/stops in Plants signature. This was unhurried and vertical line in his "R" commonly never strikes through to the lower part of his R and side-stroke.

The "lightening bolt" Page signature confuses some; it's simply "Jimmy" on an angle. Three "humps" are common in his autograph. "Page" has humps after the "P," because Jimmy thoughts a similar scrawl, like JIMMY, looked, "cool."  And it does. To the right is the "age," in Page, out to the right. This is a nice Page autograph.

The way Jone's signature was explained to me, John is "Joh," Paul is "Pal."  John is just, "J." That's what the signatures had evolved. No start/stops, unhurried excellent JPJ sign, and, I'm told, signed at the induction ceremonies at the R&RHoF.

PRICING.
I would price a Zeppelin poster, like this one, at $3500 to #5k.  Historical consequence and Led Zeppelin is a band that will be relevant a hundred years from now, like the Beatles, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, and the Stones.

Without paper provenance, I'm offering this piece for $2,000.

NOTE: There are NO RETURNS or REFUNDS.  My C.O.A. will accompany this. Do comparative analysis on the web.

This piece was never rolled into a cardboard cylinder for mailing.  It's mounted on "FOAM CORE" and covered with shrink wrap.  It's been stored, flat, with other sized pieces, kept away from sunlight and dust.  The poster's approximate measurements are 11.7 x 16.5 inches.
